  1. I am struggling myself with losing weight, and have lost about 30 pounds with 20 more to go. Hearing Mr. Babauta share his weight-loss experience is really motivational to me. I especially find his suggestion of walking more very helpful. Walking as part of an exercise regimen doesn’t nearly get enough promotion.

Thanks to both Mr. Babauta and Dustin for taking their time to make this fantastic video!

    • I’m really glad you enjoyed it, Terez! I find a lot of motivation in so much of Leo’s work, and it was a real honor to have the chance to speak with him on topics that are so important to me and our community.

Awesome job on your 30-lb weight loss…keep it up and let us know about it!

  2. Excellent!! So inspiring and full of lots of different ideas! Very cool!

I especially like Leo’s suggestion of focus on enjoying what you are doing RIGHT NOW – it’s fine to have those goals, but really focusing on what you are doing in that moment is what makes great things happen!!

The biggest benefit of Fit Marriage for us has been the time spent together and encouraging and motivating each other. It is inspiring to us to hear Leo agree that it’s not about competing with each other – it’s spending the time doing things together, but more importantly, encouraging and inspiring each other to get active. Plus the bonus of setting the example for our kids!

Very well done and thank you so much for sharing!

    • Thanks so much, Shawna. I have always been a big goal-setter, and I still will be, but I also took Leo’s suggestion of enjoying things NOW to heart and have had a much healthier attitude about numerous things since our chat.

We love having you as part of our community and your enthusiasm is contagious!

  3. Tom Terwilliger says:

Great interview. I love Leo’s philosophy regarding simplifying life as a way of maximizing time for what’s important including fitness and health. Having 6 kids and making time for all of them and still maintain his health and personal needs is inspiring.

    Thanks for the motivation.
