Detox Experience: Day 6

Another cycling day for me.  But unlike on Thanksgiving when I got out at 7am I waited today.  When I awoke at 6:30am to get ready for my ride it was 35 degrees outside.  Brrrrr cold, for this SoCal guy.  So, instead I went back to sleep and enjoyed a Saturday morning with my wife in bed.  That is until the kids came in and joined us.

I wanted to get out on the bike today and couldn’t quite get motivated with the cold weather.  As the day wore on it began to warm up and by 8:00am I made the decision to get in at least a 2 hour ride.  This is key, I didn’t give up on my exercise for the day because it was cold.  If you are committed to a workout program you make it happen.

Getting on the bike today was well worth the wait!

My energy and stamina on the bike have been positive due to the  Supreme Cleanse Internal Cleansing Program.  Tomorrow will be another test while riding, but I feel that the detox has given my body the ability to perform at a higher level now.

Like the previous days I like to give you an inside look at what my day looks like.  It hit me today that it is important to write down what I’m eating, drinking, and when.  This has allowed me to really take stock of what I’m putting in my mouth.  There is no fluff here either.  I’m being honest about everything that goes down the chute.

For the remainder of the Supreme Cleanse Internal Cleansing Program, I am going to update you on:

  • Daily workout and duration
  • Foods, meals and snacks that I have had during the day
  • What kind of beverages I drank and how much
  • Elimination patterns
  • Overall well-being

Each day I will be taking the Supreme Cleanse Internal Cleansing Program product 5 times per day.  Each of these are 20-30 minutes before either a meal or snack.  These consist of:

Breakfast Detox: 1 Tsp. Rejuve Powder  – Took this before my ride due to the late start
Snack #1 Detox: 30 drops Scudder’s Alternative & 30 drops Red Clover Supreme (pictured above) This was taken as part of my after ride recovery
Lunch Detox: 60 drops Sweetish Bitters – 20 minutes before lunch time
Snack #2 Detox: 30 drops Scudder’s Alternative & 30 drops Red Clover Supreme – Regular time
Dinner Detox: 60 drops Sweetish Bitters – Regular time

Here’s the rundown for today:

Daily Workout

Saturday morning bike ride – approx 30 miles (my computer wasn’t charged so no data from the ride)

Today’s Menu

During Ride Nutrition:
21 oz NUUN Active Hydration – Tri-berry

After Ride Recovery:
6 Hammer Nutrition Endurolytes
Peanut butter & jelly sandwich

Banana with peanut butter before my ride

Snack #1:
Not today.

2 1/2 slices of leftover pizza with ground beef
3 leftover potato cakes

Snack #2:
2 handfuls of raw almonds

20 tortilla chips (20 minutes before) Had to stop myself before I ruined dinner
Polenta (Italian corn meal) with pesto
1 organic scrambled egg
1 serving of corn bread casserole

Snack #3: (early dinner due to church & hungry afterwards)
Very small slice of homemade apple pie
Toasted sprouted bagel with cream cheese
2 handfuls of almonds


Approx. 100 oz of H2O.

Elimination Patterns

I had two decent size bowel movements before my bike ride this morning.  My frequent urination wasn’t as noticeable as previous days.  I do think that I wasn’t hydrated enough during my ride and was making up for it for a couple of hours afterwards.  This is a tough time of year when it comes to hydration on the bike.  It’s cold so I don’t think about it as much.  Problem is that it has been dry and my body needs the fluids.  Having been through this for the past 6 years I’m always tweaking to make it better.

Overall Well-being

Every Saturday night we attend church at 6pm.  Usually by the time I get there I am spent from the days activities.  After worship is finished and the sermon begins I feel the shades coming down over my eyes.  I’m happy to say that this didn’t happen at all today.  If anything I felt a keen sense of mental alertness that I haven’t had in a long time.  All in all my well-being is better than in was 6 days ago.
