4 Fat Burning Workouts to Help You Get In Shape

Getting rid of those excess pounds can seem really tedious.

There may even be times when you feel that shedding off that spare tire is downright impossible. However, with the help of good fat burning workouts, coupled with a lot of patience and determination, those extra bulges can be eliminated.

Following are 5 of the best fat burning workouts to help you achieve your fitness goals.

1. Tabata Training

This training is considered to be the quickest way to burn pounds of fat. It is a form of high-intensity interval training that makes use of all the major muscle groups. One training session lasts for four intensive minutes and can be done with any exercise that gets your whole body involved. The session can be repeated for as many times as you want, depending on your level of fitness.

The secret of Tabata training lies on the ratio of its work-rest intervals. A regular training workout has a typical work-rest ratio of 1:3, meaning you rest 3 times as long as you train.  The Tabata routine has a 2:1 work-rest ratio, meaning your rest period is only half as long as your workout period.

The intensive work-rest workout intervals cause your body to burn off all its available blood sugar. Your body will then have to replace this lost energy by burning stored body fats. Tabata training does not aim to burn fat during the workout sessions. Its aim is to burn off body sugar (carbohydrates) as fuel while you’re working out.

2. P90X

This regimen, also referred to as Power 90 Extreme, is a home-exercise system that can improve your physical fitness and eliminate excess body fat within 90 days. P90X combines various styles of fat burning workouts.

Combined with proper diet and nutrition, this workout program can provide you with full body fitness through a 6-day per week training or a 1-hour per day training, which can be ideal for busy people.

P90X training includes cardio exercises with intervals, circuits and plyometrics. This training regimen is also divided into a series of good fat burning workouts that include stretching routines, yoga, and strength core exercises.
